Sedona Arizona RV Camping and Tiny House RV Park Review

Updated: Mar 12

Hello Readers!

Are you considering checking out Sedona AZ? Well 25 minutes away is a quaint RV park called Rio Verde RV Park in Cottonwood Arizona. We stayed here just a few nights but had a great time. Fantastic place to sleep overnight or stay for weeks.

It's the perfect spot to stay somewhere quiet and but take mini day trips to all the big cities. Sedona is less than 25 minutes away with beautiful red mountains so lots of hiking opportunities and pleasant restaurants and shops. Some of the attractions nearby the RV park is the Montezuma Castle, Out of Africa Wildlife Park, Dead horse Ranch, Pink jeep tours and more! There are wine trails, pizzeria, and nearby in Jerome is the Haunted Hamburger. We did not have enough time to explore all of these attractions, but the Haunted Hamburger was a tasty stop while we explored the city of Jerome.

Super close to the RV park are all the conveniences you would need, like major grocery stores, a variety of restaurants, gas stations and shops around town.

This is a small-town park that has very nice staff that gives you all the information you need right when you arrive. They also graciously filled our tires up before we left the campground as well, as we were getting worried about our low tires on the highway. They were so helpful and kind to us. The park is right off the highway, there is a stop light to turn into the park. But be careful you don’t miss it though! You can park your RV here with about 62 spacious sites with full hookups (water, sewer and electricity hookups). While staying here we had excellent internet connection, so we were able to work and watch movies with no interruptions.

The park was very clean, they provide a dumpster, clean bathrooms and showers for use and laundry facilities. The site sizes were spacious with full hook ups, for reference we have a 38ft travel trailer. We had plenty of room for the rig and it’s 3 slides and to park our truck right in front. It was fairly easy for us to back into our site also, with a large open space in front of the sites for maneuverability.

Length of stay is unlimited; you can stay for 1 night or a week or months on end. Check their website here or call them for more information about your stay. The nightly rate at the time we stayed was $44. Another super cool option is that they have tiny house rentals on site. You can request a tiny house during your stay and be able to have all the necessities without needing to go to a hotel or if you don’t own an RV. They have a picnic table and fire pit outside and can sleep 4 people.

Overall, I would like to rate this RV park a 9/10. It was safe, convenient, and friendly place to stay. We would highly recommend you make a stop here and enjoy yourselves. Explore the area, chill at the campground and relax.
